The coast’s forgotten pantry
Taste of the Coast

Along the Archipelago’s coastline you can find many forgotten and often over-looked delicacies. The coast is characterised by salt marshes, the flora of which has adapted to the high concentrations of salt found in the soils. The shallow waters along the shore are home to many animals including, crabs, prawns, mussels and other shellfish. There is also a rich bird-life along the coast.

Enjoy a memorable day out with one of the districts wildlife wardens, and explore the tastes of the coastline’s forgotten pantry.

Many guided tours are offered by the Archipelago’s wardens.
