Enjoy the scenery and show consideration

The South Fyn Archipelago is an international bird sanctuary area, where a number of the uninhabited islands and islets – and some areas on the inhabited islands – have been designated bird sanctuaries and vulnerable breeding areas.

You are not allowed to enter the sanctuaries in the period 1 March–15 July, and you must keep at least 50 metres from the coastline.

Flocks of aquatic birds come to the archipelago all year round to rest and recuperate, so please make sure not to disturb them. Always give them a wide berth and admire them from a distance.
